A 5th Generation F Series Classic
This 1972 Ford F-250 Sport Custom "Highboy" pickup is finished in candy red upholstery and is powered by a 360ci V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a limited-slip rear differential. Additional equipment includes updated air conditioning, 16″ 90-lug alloy rims, locking front hubs, power steering, hitch receiver, sliding rear window, heater, and an updated Bluetooth radio. The truck has a C/B radio (which was apparently useful in remote Oregon).
Acquired by the seller in September 2023 in Oregon, the truck now shows 79k miles. This "Bumpside" F-250 is offered with a deluxe Marti report, owner’s manual, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.
The truck left the factory finished in beige and was repainted in approximately 2022.
This truck has been maintained as a reliable driver quality vehicle, and custom bumpers were installed along with a reserve fuel tank. The front bumper includes a hidden electric winch, steps, and two sets of fog lights.
The engine was reportedly converted from the original 360 cid to 390 by the previous owner. Engine runs great.
Under current ownership, the air conditioner was converted to use modern refrigerant (blows cold), tonneau cover was added, and a cracked dash pad was replaced.
The cab dash and doors are red metal. A replacement headliner and replaced red velour bench seat were installed by the previous owner, and the original seat (with the original vinyl) is in storage and will transfer with the truck.
I do not know of any mechanical issues with this truck.
I don't have all the answers, but I can try. This truck was updated and restored to solid driver quality by a family auto shop near Portland, OR, in 2023.
